China’s been busy making big things happen in the movies. From adding flashy special effects to crafting deeper plots, the elements of China’s movie scene have been consistently growing since the 2010s.

China’s movie scene began long ago, in the 1970s, with movies about princesses, festivals, and friendship. Gangster movies were also a big thing back then.

Since then, China has moved to a variety of topics. It has also moved away from the tradition where things started. Movies began to feature men explicitly, leaving out important aspects of womanhood that were present at the beginning. The big movie stars moved to Hollywood where they had lucrative careers in the American film industry, but were consistently underrated compared to their performance in China.

Now, Chinese movies are on the upswing again. The big movie stars are back making hits, and movies are going back to tradition to feature some of the essential concepts that provide the vital shine that people love.

Plots in Chinese movies are growing deeper. The characters too are getting more complicated. Everything looks brand new.

Zack Snyder's Vision for Hollywood

 

Zack Snyder is known for pushing the limits in the movie industry. A former music video director, Snyder knows his way around gothic taste like a mouse knows its way around a wheel. He suspends judgement on sugar coating in order to deliver people a view of what life is really like for superheroes. He delves deeper into the personal lives of action heroes and shows his audience what it’s like to be in their shoes. Giving more of a psychological perspective to morality, Snyder’s work continues to impress a devoted fanbase with a basis in Sin City-esque camera angles that he’s mastered and exceeded by now. It draws parallels to challenges of what media is facing in the modern age. The formula crafts a perceptibly believable forecast of emotional mechanics.

Battles with fierce creatures of the darkness, concrete monsters await the heroine, Browning’s Babydoll, who was placed in a psychological ward before being forced to face her demons. Her fate is in the palm of her hands, and the truth is elusive. Babydoll uses her internal strength to light the path along her journey to defeat evil.

Sucker Punch takes on a full view of mental health institutions and demons. It’s comparable to what the modern world is like for internet trolls. Very dystopian, and sarcastically abusive. It takes a master to control the system of trolls. They have taken their victims, and the good ones are left to fend at the hands of the abusers. There’s no hope for the internet in terms of freedom if people consistently abuse the power of the keyboard. Hope for freedom takes a hard perspective, and the action pushes Babydoll there. Her heroism is admirable amidst the monstrous backdrop.

The comic book action Sucker Punch delivers shows off a heroine serving up a megadose of fantasy world adventure. It gives people what they’re missing when it comes to tall tales and industry lies. A bloodsoaked mannequin giving people what they want. A must-see for fans of hot girls in action flicks!
